Cynfael is a one-of-a-kind book that tells the story of a little deer that was born different, and how he conquered his fears in his search for his true self. This project is an amalgamation of my personal experiences and memories growing up as an intersex individual, and is my tribute to diversity and to everyone that feels like they don't fit.
Cynfael was handcrafted from scratch, and many different artistic techniques were utilized in it's making, such as watercolor, stencil, frottage, traditional illustration, silk screen, photography and woodcut.
